6 Have your say

I have returned from my stint in the jungles of PNG and apologise for the lack of round review action coming your way via the Kokoda Track. But I’m back babies!

Australia v New Zealand. AAMI Park, Melbourne. Friday 8.00pm
They had a woman that looked like a man running the country, they’ve long tried to lay claim to Phar-Lap, they honestly think they can play cricket, and can see themselves winning a Rugby World Cup within the next 84 years. So they know a thing or two about craziness.

But even the Kiwis are confused as to just how Keiran Foran is their best option at halfback. Australia by 50.

City v Country. Regional Sports Stadium, Port Macquarie. Friday 7.35pm
Many people have wondered just how Parramatta five-eight Kris Keating made it into a representative team of any description. End of sentence. (Normally there would be a punch line there, but Keating’s selection is enough of a joke).

City will still win on account of the five Tigers taking part.

Eagles v Dragons. Brookvale Oval, Manly. Saturday 7.30pm
With so many players backing up from representative games the night before, this one will come down to mental toughness, and we all know the consistency of the Dragons’ mental toughness resembles a freshly dunked Arrowroot biscuit. Manly by 12.

Knights v Titans. Energy Australia Stadium, Newcastle. Sunday 2.00pm
Most Knights fans will tell you their team are certainties in this game, but be very careful before you go laying any hard earned on the Novocastrians taking this one out. Keep in mind these are the same people that think Kurt Gidley is the right man to play fullback and captain New South Wales. Enough said… Titans by 10.

Storm v Broncos. AAMI Park, Melbourne. Sunday 3.00pm
The NRL are giving serious consideration to implementing a shellacking-cap for this game to save the Broncos some embarrassment. No doubt the Storm will exceed that cap as well. Storm by 60.

Roosters v Cowboys. Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney. Monday 7.00pm
If the toll on his body from carrying 16 team mates every week wasn’t enough, imagine the strain his fragile body will be under trying to carry his enormous European rugby contract! He might need to borrow the little cart that Carl Webb pushes around in front of him to carry his excess stomach just to ease the burden. No Thurston, no chance. Chooks by 30.

Good luck to all, and go the Tigers (next week)!
