A regulation win by the Hawks. Never got out of second gear, never needed too.
Five goals to Jarryd Roughead the highlight of the match, puts him to the top of the Coleman Medal on 55.
Althought Roughead’s night was marred by a tripping incident that has seen him placed on report.
Jordan Lewis had 34 touches and a goal for the day, not a bad little effort by any standard.
Nathan Jones had 28 touches for the Dees, Max Gawn was also a stand out for the losing side.

The Hawks are in virtually unstoppable form, with eight wins from their last nine matches. The Demons, by comparison, have lost their last six, though they’ve been defensive enough to keep their losses from becoming blowouts.
It’s no surprise that the Hawks have dominated the Demons in recent years, in fact, they’ve won the last ten straight against them.
CATCH UP ON THE LATEST AFL HIGHLIGHTS
The Demons haven’t tasted victory over the brown and gold since Round 8 2006, and only two players from Melbourne’s team, Lynden Dunn and Mark Jamar, were there on that day.
Isaac Smith and Sam Mitchell are both returning for the Hawks after missing last week’s win, as is Billy Hartung. Alex Woodward and Angus Litherland have been omitted, and Jack Gunston will miss with a knee injury.
The Demons have made no less than five changes. Luke Tapscott will miss with knee trouble, while Jordie McKenzie, Cameron Pedersen, Sam Blease and Dean Terlich have all been omitted. Daniel Cross, Viv Michie, Max Gawn, Matt Jones and Dom Barry all return.
One thing the Demons badly lack that the Hawks are developing is speed. Brad Hill is a prime example of this, and Billy Hartung isn’t too slow either.
It may be a case of the Hawks’ younger, quicker brigade dominating this one while the Dees struggle to find their feet.
Prediction:
Really something would have to go drastically wrong for the Demons to stand any chance here.
Hawthorn by 72 points.
