Although it is the top gong that the league’s best are all hopeful of claiming on Brownlow Medal night, for those who miss out on Charlie, they can still claim pride by polling the most votes for their club.

BROWNLOW MEDAL FULL LEADERBOARD
NATHAN FYFE WINS 2015 BROWNLOW MEDAL

Nathan Fyfe of the Fremantle claimed the 2015 Brownlow Medal, finishing with 31 votes for the evening, three votes ahead of last year’s winner Matt Priddis.

The players that topped the Brownlow count at each AFL club are as follows:

Adelaide
Patrick Dangerfield was Adelaide’s best with 22 votes, the fourth consecutive year in which he has recorded at least twenty votes.

Brisbane
It wasn’t a high polling night for the Lions, Dayne Beams was their best but recorded only nine votes in a season affected by injury.

Carlton
The Blues captain Marc Murphy was their standout at the Brownlow count for 2015 with 12 votes for the evening.

Collingwood
Dane Swan and Scott Pendlebury traded the Collingwood lead for most of the night but in the end Swan won out with 17 votes to Pendlebury’s 15.

Essendon
It was a quiet night for the Dons but in the end young gun Dyson Heppell was their best with ten votes for the night.

Fremantle
The more than deserving winner, Nat Fyfe recorded 31 votes and won the award. David Mundy (19) and Aaron Sandilands (14) were Fremantle’s best after him.

Geelong
Though technically ineligible, Joel Selwood was Geelong’s best recording 13 votes for the evening. Steven Motlop with seven had the most of any eligible cat.

Gold Coast
Departing midfielder Harley Bennell was the biggest poller for the Suns with seven votes, the lowest total votes by any club leader in the year.

GWS
Callan Ward had an excellent season and finished on top for the Giants, recording a solid 19 votes.

Hawthorn
Another gun year from Sam Mitchell saw him come close but again fall short of a Brownlow win, he finished with 26 votes, the most for the Hawks.

Melbourne
Melbourne’s best and fairest winner Bernie Vince was no surprise as their clubhouse leader for most Brownlow votes with 14.

North Melbourne
Brownlows aren’t made for ruckmen but Todd Goldstein gave it a red hot go and finished with 18 votes for the night, highlighted by a big goofy grin whenever his name was read out.

Port Adelaide
Skipper Travis Boak went ahead of teammates Robbie Gray and Chad Wingard to record the most votes for Port Adelaide with 16.

Richmond
Dustin Martin had an excellent season and in the end was well ahead of teammates Trent Cotchin and Brett Deledio, he had 21 votes for the night.

St Kilda
The only team with a tie at the top of the count, Jack Steven and David Armitage were always going to be hard to separate and eventually shared the honour of most votes for the Saints with 12 each.

Sydney
Teammate Dan Hannebery might have been leading for most of the night but Josh P Kennedy’s massive late season form saw him pip him by a single vote to record the most for Sydney – 25 votes in total.

West Coast
Last year’s winner Matt Priddis actually recorded two more votes than last year, finishing with 28, but only managed a second placing behind Nat Fyfe this year.

Western Bulldogs
The Bulldogs were one of the trickiest to predict but in the end Marcus Bontempelli had their most with 13 and looks like a player who could win it in years to come.
