Great article!!
Incredible to hear that 10,000 fans watched Spain v Portugal, a great crowd. And the crowds for the Georgian games are very impressive. Wouldnt it be fantastic to see a southern hemisphere nation play Georgia on an end of year tour. What exactly is stopping that from happening now?? Money, security??
Thanks for writing about an article that we dont hear enough about.
European Nations Cup: Growing crowds and a growing future
Good point about his combination with Carter Riccardo, they play so well together.
I agree that he was worthy of a nomination.
Nonu the king of All Black centres
Hi Peter, perhaps more importantly lets watch how the French react to the haka! Remember 2007?!
Intrigue as north and south prepare to do battle
Hi John, I completely agree that the hardest thing for small nations is being able to match the bigger nations in attack. And this is what I meant when I said their inclusion is now bearing fruit, for the first time since their inclusion in the RC it looks like they have the real ability to mix their renowned forward power with attacking ability in the backs and across the park.

Taylorman I agree with what you are saying, each of the games with the exception of the Aus v Scotland game is open I believe. Sure there are favourites but as we have seen in the past, test match rugby at this level and with this much on the line is so tight and therefore games could be decided by one moment of brilliance or one ref decision etc.
What a weekend it will be!
Intrigue as north and south prepare to do battle
Thanks BB. That would be great to see wouldn’t it! The Boks are looking strong, it will be interesting to see who they go for in the second row.

Vito at 6 the selection that stands out.
NMS could mean Dagg and Jane are now going to struggle to make the cup squad…
Eden Park showdown irrelevant for World Cup
Great article mate, really enjoyed that. Kamo was a legend of a player. 10 years in the All Blacks and like you said, always consistently good.

I’m a kiwi mate, was meant to write NZ’s largest city but for whatever reason I wrote NZ’s capital city, honest mistake!

Penalty Crusaders. Carter puts it out and the ref blows full time. The Crusaders win it 34-6!!

Knock on Crusaders and the Lions are hot on attack, scrum in front 5 metres out. What they lack in attacking ability this Lions side makes up in attitude.

MM – I hear what you are saying re world cup cycles but like it or not I think it is now pretty much part of every teams thinking.. You need experience to win world cups so if guys aren’t going to make the next one bringing in talent earlier on in the cycle will pay dividends come world cup time. I suppose that is the thinking anyway!
There has been a fair bit in the NZ media but mainly around the midfield and new selections. 7 of the 8 world cup winning pack should start the first test.
I am not sure enough is being made of the goal kicking issue. Tight test matches are often won on goal kicking and Sopoanga excluded the other candidates have been pretty aweful in super rugby. Barrett is totally hit and miss, exclude the pun!
Time for Fekitoa to step up to the mark
