Choose your teams: the South vs. the North

There’s been a lot of interest lately in hemispheric rugby, and its differences, mainly because of the coming clashes.

June sees a team comprised of Elite and A-team Boks traveling to Wales for a one-off, then scampering back home where the Elite Boks will play France a week later.

In the same month, Elite England and the Saxons invade Australia and New Zealand.

And then comes the heavy stuff in November when the Boks and the All Blacks go to Britain and Ireland seeking Grand Slams.

So I thought it might be fun to spend an idle moment coming up with teams, one from the SH, one from the NH, that would play each other next week if we could wave a magic wand.

Here’s the deal – choose a team from the Six Nations to play a team made up from members of the Tri-Nation countries plus the Pumas, Fiji and Samoa. The only rule is you must choose at least one player from each country but no more than three players from any one country.

After you list your teams, in positions 1 to 15, tell us which you think would win.
