The NZRU should protest long and loud about England’s new black jerseys, designed for their alternate strip.
The French decided to use a dark blue jersey at the last Rugby World Cup forcing the New Zealand All Blacks to use its alternate grey strip and we all know the result.
It would be a national disgrace to have the All Blacks wear anything other than black against England, or France for that matter, at a NZ hosted World Cup.
I know that the All Blacks have worn white against Scotland at home which is understandable because the Scot’s national colour is dark blue.
The English national colour is not and has never been black. It is white. They should always wear white unless there is a conflict.
There was no need for them to wear black aginst the Wallabies.
The NZRU should be on guard against secret agendas and duplicity, which some say are English traits. Steve Tew please put your foot down and kill off this alternative English strip before it gets out of control.
