Grand final favourites Brisbane Roar have dominated the 2010/11 A-League All Stars team selected by fans. The Roar, who will host Central Coast in Sunday’s championship decider at Suncorp Stadium, had six players chosen with Ange Postecoglou voted in as head coach.
Michael Theoklitos, Ivan Franjic, Matt McKay, Thomas Broich and Kosta Barbarouses were named in the side, announced by Football Federation Australia on Thursday after fans voted on the A-League website.
Former Roar defender Luke DeVere was also named, despite his departure to join Korean club Gyeongnam.
Adelaide United were the next best represented side, with Johnny Warren medallist Marcos Flores, golden boot Sergio Van Dijk and defender Cassio selected.
Left back Joshua Rose was the Mariners’ sole representative while Socceroos and Melbourne Victory striker Robbie Kruse also earned a spot.
