Penrith Panthers will be hoping to arrest a five-match losing streak when St George Illawarra Dragons head west for Monday night football. We’ll wrap up round seven with live scores and a blog from 7.00pm AEST.

Traditionally, heading to the foot of the Blue Mountains on a chilly night in May would have been regarded as one of the most daunting tasks in rugby league.

Not anymore. Under new boss Ivan Cleary the Panthers have failed to register a win at Centrebet Stadium this season and as a result the languish on the lower rungs of the NRL ladder.

After a less-than-impressive start to 2012, flying centre Michael Jennings has been dispatched to NSW Cup for the weekend – and ironically, then selected for NSW’s State of Origin side for game one – and will be replaced by Brad Tighe in the centres.

Under new coach Steve Price the Dragons have looked premiers one week, paupers the next. Just when it looks like they have turned the corner – ie after their storming finish on ANZAC Day – they turn out a performance like the one at North Queensland last Friday night, leaving Dragons supporters scratching their heads.

Monday nights have been anything but kind to Penrith this season but tonight they have a real chance to turn that around. The Dragons just don’t look convincing enough to be regarded as certainties here so if the Panthers can turn up to play they might just register their first win at home in front of the Panthers faithful.

Can Cleary’s men arrest win for the first time since March? Find out from 7.00pm AEST as we cover the action with live scores and commentary and if you’re watching, give us your thoughts in the space below.
