The German giants Borussia Dortmund are one unit that is capable of doing the impossible in the most dramatic style.

The side taken over by Jürgen Klopp has gone on to win back to back German Bundesliga titles in some style before Bayern Munich displayed their best performance this season, recapturing the title.

However, Klopp’s army is having a sensational outing in Europe this season.

They have been facing monumental tasks ever since game one of Champions League and succeeding.

They not only topped the Group of death after wins over Ajax, Manchester City and Real Madrid, but have also remained undefeated in Europe, the only side to do so.

Shaktar, Malaga and now Real Madrid, Dortmund seems to have answer to every tough opposition and are perfectly placed to play the finals on May 25 in Wembley.

So what’s about emulating Arsenal, as the title goes?

Borussia Dortmund is in some massive trouble as their top players does not want to wear the black and yellow anymore.

Mario Gotze’s move to FC Bayern Munich, just days before the semifinal clash against Real Madrid angered the fans and some of them even went on to strip his name from a jersey and burn it.

Dortmund decimated the Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, thanks to Robert Lewandowski’s 4 goals, becoming the only one to do so against Real in Europe. A day later, he is rumoured to be a part of Bayern as well.

Central defender Hummels has already voiced his interest in joining Barcelona this summer. The 24-year-old is set to break Dortmund’s heart next season. So with their top players moving out, what does that indicate?

Dortmund is emulating Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal which is a sign of downfall.

Arsenal failed to hold onto names like Henry, Cole, Flamini, Hleb, Adebayor, Viera, Toure, Clichy, Fabregas, Nasri, Song and the golden boy of English Premier League- Robin Van Persie. Being regarded as one of the best in England, Arsenal went on to their current streak without winning a trophy for years.

The majority of those players who left tasted cup titles.

Borussia’s case is worse, considering the fact that though the number is only three, it’s actually happening together in one season.

That too their best players. Other than Reus, Dortmund is not left with Subotic, Kehl, Błaszczykowski, Piszczek, Santana and Gunter who still make it a quality side.

But with the departure of the trio, Dortmund recapturing German Bundesliga looks far from possible. Chances of winning one trophy a season will still be tough without their top players and Munich’s amazing squad with explosive inclusions of late.

For any club to be at the top and maintain their supremacy, keeping the squad injury free and making it stronger and stronger is the main goal.

Bayern are on their way to do it, Barcelona and Real Madrid are already looking for new signings and Chelsea look to buy Falcao and Jose Mourinho.

Dortmund failing to hold their big guns is a really bad sign for their future. Klopp needs to reconstruct his side with new signings or stop Lewandowski or Hummels from going somewhere else. All that we can say now is that Borussia Dortmund is going to suffer the same fate as Arsenal in coming years.
