The Canberra Raiders have won their past two matches at AAMI Park but will still start significant outsiders against the undefeated Melbourne Storm tonight. Join us for live scores and commentary from 5.30pm AEST.

Melbourne’s past two wins at AAMI Park have left a lot to be desired and they will be keen to fire against Canberra.

The Storm were fortunate to get away with victories over the Tigers and Warriors at home and will be looking to improve several areas of their game.

Melbourne’s ball handling and discipline against New Zealand was below par for a team of their calibre, and Craig Bellamy’s men will give themselves a headache tonight against Canberra if they fail to hold on to possession.

The Raiders have fond memories of AAMI Park and are certainly capable of securing a result despite their indifferent form.

With Terry Campese slowly returning to form, Canberra do possess the players necessary to cause Melbourne trouble tonight.

Prediction

After unconvincing victories over the Tigers and Warriors at home, expect Storm coach Craig Bellamy to demand a far more complete performance against Canberra.

If the Storm do come out with the attitude and discipline more befitting their status as reigning premiers, then Canberra could be in for a tough 80 minutes tonight.

The Raiders have been ordinary in defence this season and will get torn apart if Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk, Cameron Smith and Gareth Widdop are in the mood to fire.

Despite the odds being firmly against them, Canberra could do worse than look at the Warriors for inspiration.

New Zealand shocked the Storm last week after scoring an early try and really rattled Melbourne’s almost unshakable confidence.

If the Raiders can score first, key players Campese, Josh McCrone and Reece Robinson will all gain confidence and possess the class to trouble the Storm on the scoreboard.

A fast start from Melbourne however and the home side should be favoured to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
