Perth’s nib stadium is the venue for what should be a highly entertaining encounter between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and New Zealand Warriors. Join us for live scores and commentary from 9.30pm AEST.

After a poor start to the season, the Warriors are starting to string some wins together and will be primed for a strong showing against South Sydney.

The Rabbitohs haven’t been able to fire this season but still find themselves in fourth position on the NRL ladder. They are winning matches even without playing their best but they will need to improve if they are to defeat the Warriors.

New Zealand are coming off a convincing 38-18 victory over Newcastle last week. They have won their past two matches and their last defeat came at the hands of the ladder-leading Bulldogs in a cracking contest three weeks back.

Overall, the Warriors are in good form and should certainly test the Rabbitohs tonight in front of a big crowd.

Despite piling on the points against Newcastle last week, the Warriors will have to be patient against South Sydney. The Rabbitohs are the second-best defensive outfit in the NRL and will look to frustrate the Warriors into error.

The likes of Shaun Johnson and Sam Tomkins in particular need to play the percentages if the Warriors are a chance.

South Sydney meanwhile will look to keep things fairly direct. The Burgess brothers are in top form and they hold the key to the Rabbitohs dominating.

With both teams building in confidence, tonight’s contest promises to be one of the more competitive matches of the round. The battle between Shaun Johnson and Adam Reynolds in the halves and Greg Inglis and Sam Tomkins at fullback will determine which team comes out on top.
