Welcome to the new season! Tonight, we have live coverage, of Arsenal taking on Crystal Palace in our late Saturday kick-off. Join The Roar as the action gets underway at 2:30am (AEST) for live scores and coverage.

The season has started on the wrong foot for the traveling side, as their manager Tony Pulis left his job one day before kick-off!

They will be in the hands of caretaker manager, Keith Millen. Interestingly, Millen took care of Palace’s fixture against Arsenal, last term as well.

For Arsenal, who finished fourth in 2013/14 after being on top at Christmas, have recruited well for the upcoming season. They brought in several new acquisitions, highlighted by Chilean star, Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona. His sign may take the Gunners to more silverware after their FA Cup triumph last year.

Crystal Palace, were widely tipped, to not survive their return but after a mid-season managerial change, to the now departed Pulis. He kept his record of surviving relegation alive, guiding the soaring Eagles to an 11th placed finish and well above the drop-zone.

That brings us to tonight. Most punters will tip an emphatic Arsenal victory, over a Palace side, rocked by Pulis’ departure 24 hours before the game. Palace showed last season though, they could shock the big teams including a 1-0 victory over Chelsea and the crazy 3-3 draw against Liverpool.

Team News : Arsenal will be without their German world cup winning trio: Mesut Özil, Per Mertesacker and Luckas Podolski. For Crystal Palce they will be missing Adrian Marriapa and Damien Daleney through injury.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1
