WATCH: Monster Crusaders scrum completely eats up unprepared Rebels
Melbourne's scrum was embarrassed by the push from the home side.
Rebels captain Scott Higginbotham was good enough to speak to The Roar at the launch of the 2015 Super Rugby season in Sydney.
Higginbotham is gearing up for a massive 2015, in which he hopes to play for the Wallabies in his second Rugby World Cup, but beforehand he’ll have to earn selection through another big year with the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby.
He said that the group were largely expectation free ahead of the season, and would be seeing how things pan out early in the season before setting too many goals on where they want to be come finals time.
Higginbotham also made not of the fact that everyone in the squad was aware of the huge responsibility placed on every player in a Super Rugby year.

>> Reds coach Richard Graham
>> ARU CEO Bill Pulver
He did say that despite Melbourne Rising losing their only game of the season in the inaugural NRC finals series, the squad had taken plenty of positives out of the campaign into training for this year’s tilt at Super Rugby.
