England‘s hopes of advancing to the group stages of the 2015 Cricket World Cup came crashing down in stunning fashion at the Adelaide Oval last night, as Bangladesh secured a famous 15-run victory.
After reaching 275/7 from their fifty overs, including a maiden World Cup ton to Mahmudullah Riyad, Bangladesh looked in trouble as the English raced to 97/1.
However a middle-order collapse would open the door for a famous victory, and Bangladesh did not let the opportunity pass, knocking England over for 260 in the 49th over, securing their place in the quarter finals.
Not surprisingly, social media erupted at the result. Here is some of the best reaction to England’s World Cup capitulation.
