Arsenal have managed to almost certainly finish in a Champion’s League position this season, but have struggled in so many different areas that it has overshadowed their campaign.

Mistakes and lack of ability continue to halt their progress.

This has produced some very spiteful and undeniably entertaining banter between managers and players alike, with an incident reported by Fox Sports which showed a video between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger going tit for tat in because of Wenger’s belief that Chelsea are a boring team.

Jose Mourinho, in reply, explained how titles are certainly not boring and rather that ten years with a title (Arsenal) certainly is boring.

Whether or not this came down from frustration for the goalless draw played out between the two clubs or not, it definitely made for some entertaining drama. Arsene Wenger has been widely criticised for his lack of trophies despite constantly keeping Arsenal in the top four.

Wenger could quite possibly be everything that is wrong with Arsenal at the moment.

The fans deserve better. They deserve an Arsenal team that is capable of going for the title. With their current squad there is certainly no reason why they couldn’t go for the title but their lack of ambition is holding them back.

This is because they have become too comfortable and focused on holding onto Champions League qualification. It is beginning to frustrate the fans as they know the Arsenal team they support is so much better than that.
