The Perth Wildcats play their first home game of the 2015-16 NBL season when they host the struggling New Zealand Breakers at Perth Arena. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary of the match from 9:30pm (AEDT).

The Wildcats will be looking to continue their winning form after a tough road win against the Adelaide 36ers in their only game of Round 1.

The Breakers meanwhile, will try to get back to where they were in their only win of the season which came at home against the Townsville Crocodiles. Their other two games, both away from home have ended in demoralising blowout loses where they have never really looked to be in the contest.

The Perth Wildcats will go into Friday night against the Breakers full of confidence coming off an impressive victory over the 36ers in Adelaide last Saturday night. The 79-66 victory was a fast-paced physical contest which they were able to run away in the last quarter of a tight contest.

Jermaine Beal led the Wildcats with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists and was well supported from Nathan Jawai who had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Matthew Knight had a good game with 6 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists. The Wildcats played without captain Damian Martin (calf) and he looks likely to sit out again in this one.

The Breakers started their season last Wednesday night with a bad loss against the 36ers. They were never really in the contest, losing 90-71. They were however able to bounce back at home against the Townsville Crocodiles 89-81 in what was an unconvincing win. Opening Round 2 though, they travelled to Wollongong and once again got blown out by the Hawks, going down 96-75.

Cedric Jackson has started the season well averaging 14 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists per game while centre Charles Jackson has had 12 points, 7.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists a game and Alex Pledger has been handy off the bench averaging 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Breakers have the edge recently over the Wildcats winning four of the last five matches and will look to continue this run.
