West Ham haven’t lost in six Premier League fixtures and can claim another big scalp when Chelsea come across town for another London derby. Join The Roar from 1:00am (AEDT) for live scores to find out.

West Ham’s last league loss came on the 23rd of August against Bournemouth. Contrastingly, their opponents for today have lost their three of their last six!

It’s been Chelsea’s worst start to the season in recent memory and manager Jose Mourinho will hope that last week’s home win against Aston Villa will be the beginning of a purple patch for the Blues which will continue at Upton Park.

This fixture is important to both sides. West Ham will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run and continue to hold down their spot in the Premier League’s illustrious top four.

Slaven Bilic’s side currently sit in fourth place on 17 points after nine matchdays this season. Chelsea’s failings thus far have been exceedingly glaring as the defending champions find themselves languishing in eleventh spot on the ladder.

Jose Mourinho has dominated headlines recently with a number of grievances but he will be praying that his side write the headlines on the pitch rather than off it this time around.

Past meetings between these two teams have been dominated by the Blues, who have emerged victorious in seven of the last ten regardless of host. Contrastingly, the Hammers have beaten Chelsea just once in the same time frame. Accordingly, Chelsea are bookies favourites going into this one ($1.90) despite the higher table standing of their opponents ($3.75). In the corresponding fixture last season, Chelsea took all three points home to Stamford Bridge following Eden Hazard’s solitary goal.

In player news, West Ham will be without Alex Song and potentially Winston Reid through injury, whilst Victor Moses will also be absent due to an inability to play against his parent club thanks to the conditions of his loan deal.

Chelsea will take the pitch without long term injury sufferers Thibaut Courtois and Branislav Ivanovic whilst Pedro Rodriguez and Loic Remy remain doubtful.

Prediction: West Ham 2-1 Chelsea
