Socceroo defender Brad Smith’s meteoric football rise continued this morning with the 21-year-old old making his starting debut for Liverpool in the Europa League.
Smith was involved in Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Swiss side FC Sion away from home. The draw was enough for Liverpool to top Group B and progress to the knockout stage.
Smith, who was without a club just a month ago had a solid game in the left-back position. At one stage he showed off his speed down the wing and almost provided the perfect cross to Divock Origi.
