The Premier League heads to the international break after this third round of matches. With three days left of the transfer window, managers will be casting critical eyes over their squads to see if they need to make any last minute dealings before the deadline passes.

Here are the winners and losers from Week 3.

WINNERS:

Arsene Wenger
Not only does it look like Arsene Wenger will be bringing two new players into the club, but his team also won this week, and won well.

They played the kind of football that makes them so easy on the eye at times, with his big players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez coming to the party.

If Wenger can keep everyone happy, and maybe add another body before Wednesday, then there’ll be something for Arsenal fans to get optimistic about.

Raheem Sterling
The much-maligned youngster had a good day against West Ham. He went to City for a huge sum of money and underperformed last season.

Under Pep Guardiola’s tutelage, it seems the 21-year-old is enjoying his football again and his two-goal haul will only add to his confidence.

Chelsea
A good 3-0 win. Some will say that it was only against Burnley, but they were dispatched with aplomb.

It appears Antonio Conte has inherited the Eden Hazard of two seasons ago, who was the best player in the League at the time.

After a couple of stuttery wins against Watford and West Ham, this was a statement. The last three times Chelsea won their opening three fixtures of the season, they won the league.

Jordan Henderson
He’s been named in the England squad again. How?

LOSERS:

Shay Given
Slightly harsh, but somehow after Leighton Baines had missed his first ever penalty, the ball went in off the hapless Stoke City stopper for an own goal, the only one of the game.

Hull City
Another very harsh award, but after two superb wins and holding on for 92 minutes, Hull went down in injury time against a much more fancied Man Utd. Hopefully, they don’t dwell on this for too long.

Penalty takers
Three penalties conceded this week, three penalties missed. Leighton Baines for Everton, Yohan Cabaye for Crystal Palace and Riyad Mahrez for Leicester all saw their efforts rejected.

A good day though for the goalkeepers.
