South Africa have clinched the series after claiming the second Test in convincing fashion on Day four following another Australian batting collapse. Here’s all the scores and highlights from the second Test.
Two massive collapses highlighted the Test match in Hobart, both by the home side as Australia struggled to bat in swinging and seaming conditions.
The first innings saw the Aussies lose all their wickets for just 85 runs on the opening day, before a similar collapse on the fourth and final day of 8/32 sealed the series for the Proteas.
Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja offered up some resistance, but the bowling from Vernon Philander, Kagiso Rabada and particularly Kyle Abbott was superb.
South Africa’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock notched up a vital century as he put on a big stand with Temba Bavuma during the Proteas’ only dig to take a big first innings lead.
