The New Zealand Warriors and the North Queensland Cowboys meet in New Zealand in a Round 5 clash. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 5:30pm (AEST).

The Cowboys take a trip across the ditch to take on the red-hot Warriors with a chance to get things back on track.

Being towelled up by the Panthers last week raised some serious questions in the far north and it was hard to find many players in their team who performed anywhere near their optimum level.

It was very un-Cowboy like and Mt Smart Stadium presents the opportunity to put that performance behind them and grab their second win of the season. A season still yet to gain any momentum.

Contrastingly, the Warriors can move to five wins and no defeats, which would stun most observers and fly in the face of the inconsistency that has plagued them over the years.

With newfound attention to detail, a sense of poise and a better balance between flair and fortitude, the Warriors look increasingly like a finals team and the quick start they have made will mean a string of losses would be required for them to miss the eight.

This is a big matchup for the Cowboys with another loss potentially stretching the margin between them and the top four, whilst the Warriors will look to use home ground advantage and continue their impeccable season.

Prediction
The Warriors will get the job done at home yet there won’t be too much between the teams in what could be a high scoring affair.

Warriors 26, Cowboys 16
