The second weekend of city-based Australian esports action gets underway this Sunday at 10am, Rocket League and Street Fighter V both taking the stage at the Gfinity Hoyts Esports Arena.

Round 2, Day 1 of the Gfinity Elite Series took place yesterday, with Perth moving to the top of the CS:GO table with a win over Sydney Roar, while Melbourne Avant and Sydney Chiefs picked up their first wins of the season over Melbourne Order and Brisbane Deceptors respectively.

In our preview article yesterday, we picked Perth to complete the three-game sweep of Sydney Roar with comfortable wins in both Rocket League and Street Fighter V

The Melbourne derby was the highlight of the day yesterday, and we call a split here – with Order likely to triumph in Rocket League, but Avant the favourites for Street Fighter V, while Sydney Chiefs should be able to get the job done twice against Brisbane.

Street Fighter V – Week 2

Rocket League – Week 2
