The Dragons host the struggling Sea Eagles at Win Stadium on Saturday night.

The Dragons will be looking to maintain their spot at the top of the table when they take on the struggling Sea Eagles at WIN Stadium on Saturday night. The Dragons scraped over the line on Monday against the Bulldogs 18-16 at ANZ Stadium and will be facing a five-day turnaround heading into this game.

The Sea Eagles’ season slumped to another low last week, losing their third straight game when they were whacked 34-14 by the Warriors, meaning they have won just four through 14 rounds of the 2018 season.

St George Illawarra Dragons scouting report
The Dragons have named an unchanged side from the one that edged the Bulldogs. Jason Nightingale was surprisingly dropped to the bench in that game, with Kurt Mann again being preferred by Paul McGregor on the left wing.

Manly Sea Eagles scouting report
Trent Barrett has named 19-year-old Manase Fainu to make his NRL debut in place of Api Koroisau, who is out for eight to ten weeks with a broken foot. Centre Moses Suli returns in the centres after being dropped for missing a training session last week. Suli’s return forces Brad Parker to the interchange. Frank Winterstein comes into the starting side in the second row, and Shaun Lane moves to the bench.

Verdict
I can see the Dragons breaking the shackles here and getting a big victory over Manly. The Eagles have not been too resilient over the past couple of weeks, giving up an average of 30 points a game and looking like a side that knows they are only marking time before the end of the season.

The Dragons are not playing their best football at the moment, but with a full-strength side at this disposal and back at one of their spiritual homes, I expect them to go up a gear and win this game by three tries or more.
