The NSW Blues will be looking to complete a State of Origin series sweep of the Queensland Maroons on Sunday night at ANZ Stadium in Game 2. We have all the details covered on the Origin start time right here so you can prepare for the game with ease.

The State of Origin kick-off time for Game 2 is advertised as 7:40pm (AEST).

However, as we all know, the chances of the game actually starting on time are as slim as Parramatta’s hopes of making the top eight this year.

The match will most likely commence at around 7:50pm with pre-match entertainment, advertising and the national anthem ceremony often pushing back the official kick-off time. Game 1 began at 8.15pm this year, despite being advertised to kick-off at 8pm.

As for the finish time for Origin, the game is expected to conclude at 9:40pm.

Newcastle sensation Kalyn Ponga has been named to make his debut for Queensland as they look to send this year’s series to a decider at Suncorp Stadium. The Maroons are also bolstered by the return of experienced fullback Billy Slater.

The Blues are not without changes either. Reagan Campbell-Gillard has been ruled out with a broken jaw, with either Ryan James or Matt Prior to replace the Penrith front rower in the 17.

New South Wales are looking to win their first series since 2014.
