There have been a host of changes for both teams, with Queensland in particular making some interesting selections. So, who is playing for each State of Origin side?

The Blues haven’t had to make many changes. After all, they did just win their first series since 2014. However, Tariq Sims has been rewarded for his strong club form with an Origin debut in place of Matt Prior.

It isn’t the same story north of the border.

Regular captain Greg Inglis, rookie Kalyn Ponga and Maroons enforcer Dylan Napa are all out from Game 2.

Billy Slater will lead Queensland out in his final game for the side while Dane Gagai shifts to the centres to cover Inglis’ absence. This sees Corey Oates recalled on the wing.

A poor performance in Game 2 has seen Ben Hunt dropped to the interchange in Ponga’s place, with Daly Cherry-Evans his shock replacement in the number seven jersey.

There has been considerable movement in the Maroons’ forward pack, with Jai Arrow and Josh Papalii starting in the front row while Jarrod Wallace goes back to the bench. The reliable Tim Glasby fills in for Napa on the bench.
