The Brisbane Broncos host the Cronulla Sharks as two form sides battle it out in the hope of earning a top-four finish. Join The Roar from 7:50pm (AEST) for live scores and coverage of the match.

Only four points separate first and eighth, making a late charge to the top for the Broncos entirely possible, however their for-and-against record will have to improve.

Of course, they gave it a decent boost last week, racking up a half-century against Penrith, delivering a 50-18 victory after an inspired first-half performance.

Wayne Bennett has reshuffled his backline in recent weeks, with Jamayne Isaako switching back to fullback, and it appears to be paying off.

The Sharks have eight victories from their last ten matches, having won gritty in recent weeks.

Cronulla have proven themselves against top teams, such as the Panthers and Warriors, although last week’s controversial win over the Raiders showed they are susceptible to leaking points and collapsing toward the end of the game.

These two clubs met in Round 15 at Shark Park, where Brisbane were victorious 20-16.

Lang Park has been an unhappy hunting ground for the Sharks, winning only four games from 16 appearances against the Broncos at the venue. However, three of those four wins came between 2012 and 2014.
