After winning last year’s inaugural competition, the Matildas will look to hold onto the Tournament of Nations crown when they take on Brazil, the USA and Japan.

This is The Roar’s guide to watching the Matildas both online and on TV.

While the Australians may have won last year’s tournament, this year’s competition provides them with the perfect chance to prove themselves on the global stage.

Currently, the USA women’s team ranks the best in the world followed by Japan (6th) and Brazil (7th) while Alen Stajcic’s side only ranked eighth-best.

The tournament consists of six round robin matches, with a winner selected from total points accrued.

Australian footballing fans may be given the opportunity to witness 15-year-old Mary Fowler’s debut for the Matildas after the youngster was added to the squad by Stajcic, who rates her the most exciting prospect in women’s football.

How to watch on TV

The tournament will exclusively be shown on Fox Sports with every Matildas match broadcast live on channel 507.
