The Melbourne Storm are looking to move closer to claiming back-to-back premierships when they host the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the first game of the 2018 NRL finals series. This is The Roar’s guide to live streaming the match online and watching it on TV.

Kick-off is scheduled for 7:50pm (AEST) on Friday, September 7 at AAMI Park as two of the competition’s heavweights look to progress straight to the preliminary finals.

Melbourne won’t be without disruption in their journey towards the big dance, with Nelson Asofa-Solomona (ankle) and Will Chambers (suspension) already ruled out of Friday night’s game.

They are set to be boosted by the return of five-eighth Cameron Munster and winger Suliasi Vunivalu though as they look to bounce back following a last-start loss to Penrith.

Champion fullback Billy Slater is also expected to be named after missing last week’s game due to personal reasons.

The Rabbitohs will be confident in their chances on Friday night having defeated Melbourne 30-20 earlier in the season. However, they won’t have such fond memories heading back to AAMI Park, where they were thrashed 64-6 last year.

How to watch the game on TV

Both free-to-air and Foxtel viewers can catch Friday night’s game on TV.
