An all-important home preliminary final is on the line for the West Coast Eagles and Collingwood Magpies when they clash in the first ever final at Optus Stadium. First bounce for this qualifying final is scheduled for 8:10pm (AEST) on Saturday, September 8.
Neither of these sides were predicted to figure much in 2018’s premiership calculations yet, here they are, battling it out in a mouth-watering qualifying final to cap off the first week of finals.
As the only non-Victorian team in the top four, West Coast’s ability to funnel as much of the fixture through their Optus Stadium fortress will be crucial.
