The Bathurst 1000 is the biggest event on the Australian motorsport calendar – and it’s coming up very soon. The race itself is on Sunday, October 7 at 11:10am, however, the event itself – with practices and other festivities – begins on Thursday, October 4.
This is The Roar’s full schedule for Bathurst 1000.
300 points are on offer to the winner of this event, meaning the results at Bathurst will have huge implications on the rest of the Supercars Championship. Shane van Gisbergen currently holds a 55-point lead over Scott McLaughlin at the top of the standings.
2017 champion Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes and David Reynolds – who finished first at Bathurst last year – round out the top five.
