The Indian Premier League is back for 2019, with eight teams set to battle it out for the ultimate prize in global T20 cricket. This is The Roar’s guide to streaming every match in Australia, and watching them on TV.

» IPL Fixtures

The season will run from March 23 through to the middle of May, with the dates of the semi-finals and finals following a 56-match regular season yet to be announced.

The 56 regular season matches allow for each team to play a full home and away round robin against the other seven teams, with each team to play a total of 14 matches throughout the tournament.

How to watch the Indian Premier League 2019 on TV in Australia

For the second time in a row, the IPL will be available to Australian audiences. The tournament had previously gone uncovered for almost a decade.

As was the case in 2018, it’ll be Fox Sports who have the rights, with the pay-TV network set to broadcast games through Channel 501, known as Fox Cricket.

To tune into Fox Cricket for the IPL, or other upcoming tournaments like the Cricket World Cup, you’ll need to have a valid Foxtel TV subscription, complete with the sports package.

How to live stream the Indian Premier League 2019 online in Australia

If you are instead looking to tune into the IPL through a live stream, you’ll need to use the coverage available on Fox Sports.

The best way to do that is to use Kayo Sports, which has the rights to all of Foxtel’s sports channels and other selected events from $25 per month.

Foxtel also has two dedicated streaming applications, known as the Foxtel App (for those already with a TV subscription), and Foxtel Now. Again, you’ll need the sports package to allow either of these to pick up the IPL in 2019.

Here at The Roar, you can be sure that if there is a big moment, you’ll be able to check out highlights of it.
