Game of Codes, Episode 19: Freddy butchers the Blues Origin team, AFL crowds and Australia's batting woes

Tuesday only means one thing, at least as far as we’re concerned – another episode of Game of Codes!

Australia’s biggest sporting debate is back this week to talk over a bunch of the biggest topics doing the rounds.

Right now, there’s none bigger than Brad Fittler throwing the baby, the bathwater and the whole kitchen sink out with his NSW Blues team for State of Origin Game 2.

We’re joined by Roar rugby league expert AJ Mithen to fathom just how and why Fittler took a sledgehammer to the backs, and whether his forward pack choices were the right ones.

Next up, it’s over to the AFL where Marnie Cohen jumps on to talk AFL crowd behaviour and the controversial security crackdown. The AFL says there’s been no crackdown, Marvel Stadium says there has – what’s really going on and who’s really to blame for the current scenario?

Then we turn over to cricket with Ryan O’Connell where Australia’s suspect batting gets put under the microscope. Is their current approach sustainable? Or will they get found out when it counts?

Finally, it’s rugby union with Geoff Parkes as we discuss what impact a horror year for Australian Super Rugby will have on Wallabies selection.

Catch the episode in the player above and head to our Game of Codes hub to listen to Tuesday’s edition. Be sure to subscribe and review on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or wherever else you’re listening.
