On Tuesday, we asked you to pick the team the Wallabies should run out with for their Rugby World Cup quarter-final against England. Now, we can reveal the results ahead of Michael Cheika’s official announcement later today.

With over 1200 votes, plenty of Roarers wanted to have their say on the way the Wallabies should line up against England.

There is little surprise that Dane Haylett-Petty won the race at the back, scoring 68 per cent of the vote to take the number 15 jersey. Kurtley Beale was second with almost 23 per cent, and no others gained enough support to warrant a mention.

That’s not to mention Haylett-Petty was also included as a winger in almost seven per cent of teams, but it’s Marika Koroibete and Jordan Petaia who get the nod in our side.

Koroibete was nearly a unanimous selection, picked in over 95 per cent of teams, while young gun Petaia was included in almost 62 per cent. Reece Hodge was the third option, but only had 28 per cent of the vote.

The race to be named outside centre was a much tighter affair, with James O’Connor just getting the nod ahead of Tevita Kuridrani, with the duo having 42 per cent and 39 per cent respectively.

The third man pushing for that spot, Samu Kerevi, will instead line up at inside centre where he was picked in 65 per cent of teams.

The halves were one-way traffic, with Christian Lealiifano and Nic White picked well ahead of their opposition.

Meanwhile, when it came to back-rowers, Michael Hooper, Isi Naisarani and David Pocock were well ahead of the rest with 81, 74 and 69 per cent respectively. The locks were also one-sided, with Rory Arnold claiming 86 per cent of the vote, and Izack Rodda 82.

Tolu Latu was one of the most popular picks, taking 83 per cent of the vote to be named at hooker, while Allan Alaalatoa and Scott Sio are the props with 78 and 67 per cent respectively.

The team picked by Roarers matches the team picked for the match against Wales in the forwards, and is almost exactly the same as the one who played against Fiji, with only changes from the tournament opener wanted by Roarers being Haylett-Petty in at fullback for Kurtley Beale, and Jordan Petaia playing on the wing for Reece Hodge.
