The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 26 - the jostle for finals positions is on in earnest
Here is the way the Roar expert panel sees all the action unfolding across the final weekend of play prior to the semi-finals.
The A-League season kicks into full gear this weekend, with the first Sydney derby of the season set to fill Parramatta’s Bankwest Stadium to the rafters.
Matches between the two Sydney rivals are always ones to circle on the calendar – and this one looks to be even spicier.
It’ll be the first-ever meeting between Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers at the new stadium, with it also being the first clash between the sides west of Homebush since 2014.
With the Sky Blues enjoying an extraordinary run of dominance over the Wanderers over their last 17 meetings – winning 11 and drawing five – will this finally be the game Western Sydney crack the hoodoo?
We got Roar football expert Mike Tuckerman on the Game of Codes podcast to preview the Sydney derby and make a call on who walks away with the three points.
Listen to the debate in the player above.
Both teams come into this match as the only undefeated sides in the A-League. The Wanderers are looking to go 3-0-0 for the first time in club history, while also putting together their first three-game winning streak since April 2017.
