It’s officially Week 2 of the NRL finals and fans will be certainly entertained with these two blockbuster sudden-death matches on Friday and Saturday night.

Firstly, on Friday night, we have a grand final rematch between the Roosters and Raiders, and on Saturday night the Eels are hoping to cause an upset against the high-flying Rabbitohs. Obviously, the two winners of these games will advance to the preliminary final to meet with either the Panthers or the Storm, who have already booked a place in the prelims with their wins last week.

I will provide my own tips and predictions for Week 2 while selecting a margin, either 12 or less or 13 or more. Good luck to everyone with your tipping!

Sydney Roosters vs Canberra Raiders (Raiders 1-12)
The Roosters got off to a solid start against the Panthers, leading 10-0 and then at one stage 28-10, but lost by only one point in the end. On the other hand, the Raiders were shocked by the Sharkies and didn’t really find any momentum until George Williams intercepted a pass from Wade Graham and then went on with the job from thereon.

The Roosters will get some crucial ins including Jake Friend and Sonny Bill Williams. The Raiders will love to get some redemption after last year’s controversial grand final and cause an upset in this clash.

They’re very physical and love an arm wrestle especially in big games, but they would have to find a higher level of intensity and commitment if they want to beat the Chooks here and they will find that level and provide an upset.

Parramatta Eels vs South Sydney Rabbitohs (Rabbitohs 1-12)
The Eels got off to an excellent start against the Storm but couldn’t provide that same form for 80 minutes, and the Bunnies absolutely rolled over the Knights last week and continue their fine form.

It is absolutely crucial for Parramatta to somehow perform a professional defensive effort against the Rabbitohs here, otherwise this could get away from them but it still shapes up to be a highly entertaining encounter anyway as the Eels are not too bad at scoring points themselves.

Obviously, it is a huge boost for Parramatta playing at Bankwest Stadium and they seem to play their best footy at this location but unless they have their best game of the season, I believe the Rabbitohs will get the job done to book a place with the Penrith Panthers in the preliminary final.
