The undefeated Hockeyroos will be looking to continue their undefeated pool stage against fierce rivals New Zealand in Group B at the Tokyo Olympics.

It has been a dominant Olympics thus far for Australian hockey in both the women’s and men’s event, with the Kookaburras also winning their first four group matches to secure qualification to the knockout stage.

The Hockeyroos have also ensured they’ll be in the last eight with wins over Spain, China and Japan, but this match against the Black Sticks could determine who finishes the pool stage atop the group.

What time are the Hockeyroos playing tonight?
The Aussies are set to battle New Zealand at 10:15pm AEST, or 8:15pm AWST for Western Australian viewers. That’s a 9:15pm start by local time in Tokyo.

The match will be held at the Oi Hockey Stadium in Shinagawa City, to the south of the city proper.

How to watch the Australian Hockeyroos vs New Zealand
As with everything Olympics-related, Channel 7 and their online streaming service 7plus have exclusive rights to the tournament, and is the only place you can legally watch the Games.

The network have attracted criticism for changing channels midway through other events at the Games, but at this stage Seven are advertising that the hockey will be broadcast on the 7Mate channel – that’s channel 73 in metro areas. However, if you can’t find the match on 7Mate, chances are it’s on Seven’s main channel, which is 70 in metro areas.

If possible, your best bet to ensure you catch all the action with a minimum of hassle is through the free 7plus app. Also available online, it offers live streaming of every Olympic event you can name, and will be showing the entirety of the Hockeyroos’ game.
