The AFL grand final will once again be played at its traditional home of the MCG, with the Collingwood Magpies and Brisbane Lions duking it out for the 2023 premiership cup.
The 2023 AFL grand final will start at 2:30pm (AEST) on Saturday, September 30. That means the match will start at 2pm (ACST) local time for if you’re in South Australia or the Northern Territory, and 12:30pm (AWST) if you’re in Western Australia.
This year’s match will feature standard 20-minute quarter lengths plus time on, with 20 minutes added for the half-time break and six minutes apiece for quarter time and three-quarter time breaks.
This means the half-time siren will sound at approximately 3:35pm (AEST) – that’s 3:05pm (ACST) and 1:35pm (AWST).
That leaves the final siren at 5pm (AEST), or 3pm (AWST) and 4:30pm (ACST).
