The biggest event on the Australian motorsport calendar – Bathurst 1000 – is back for another year. The field looks very different this year, however, so make sure you know all the drivers and co-drivers, with The Roar’s handy guide.

Unlike the rest of the Supercars season, Bathurst 1000 features two drivers per car due to the race’s punishing length. The co-driver must do at least 54 laps out of the 161 in total.

Supercars championship leader Brodie Kostecki has “weight on his shoulders” approaching the Bathurst 1000 in an unprecedented position for Erebus.

The Chevrolet Camaro driver has a 155-point lead over three-time champion Shane van Gisbergen ahead of this year’s great race at Mount Panorama.

The reigning champions at Bathurst are van Gisbergen and Garth Tander.
