South Sydney will welcome back Latrell Mitchell but have been forced to field three debutants for their meeting with the Dragons on Saturday after the extent injury crisis was revealed in a chaotic teamlist.

Gehamat Shibasaki makes his first appearance for the club after arriving from the Townsville Blackhawks in the Q Cup, and is joined by rookies Dion Teaupa and Matt French.

Teaupa has impressed in pre-season games and played internationally for Tonga, but French is a near-unknown with limited NSW Cup games to his name.

Brisbane have turned to their development list squad with Burleigh Bears playmaker Josh Rogers to play halfback and new forward signing Jack Gosiewski to make his club debut off the bench against Parramatta.

With captain Adam Reynolds sidelined for 12-14 weeks with a torn biceps and second choice half Jock Madden still unavailable with a pectoral injury, the Broncos will play Rogers alongside five-eighth Ezra Mam in the away clash with the Eels on Friday night.

Parra compensate for the loss of Clint Gutherson by moving Blaize Talagi to fullback and welcome Bryce Cartwright back from a rib injury.

A return on the cards for Herbie Farnworth with the Dolphins able to name their star off-season recruit in the centres for the first time in more than a month for the visit of Manly.

Penrith bring back Nathan Cleary following his withdrawal last week and replace Izack Tago, who is suspended, with Paul Alamoti for the visit of his former club, the Bulldogs. Canterbury are unchanged from their win over the Tigers.

Wests have a halves shortage with Latu Fainu injured and Aiden Sezer banned. They can welcome back captain Api Koroisau and backup Jayden Sullivan to play 7. They face Newcastle, who are strengthened by the return of Tyson Frizell and Jacob Saifiti.
