'Don't understand the point': Newcastle forward tees off at VAR after controversial non-penalty
The challenge in the box left Anthony Gordon with a ripped sock and a sore ankle, but VAR deemed it not worthy of a…
It seems that what looked like a clear cut win for the Red Devils to claim the EPL this season has now come down to the wire, with Liverpool now only a point behind.
But even though it seems all odds are against United to claim the title, they will overcome the bad patch and win yet again another EPL.
There are eight games left to play with the big tests being Arsenal, Man City and, of course, Aston Villa next week.
With red cards for Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic, the Devils have three top class players unable to face Villa.
United just have to play their best eleven they have at the moment and show the world, and particularly Liverpool, that their last two defeats was just a bad patch.
In 1996/97, United were beaten 6-3 at Southampton and 5-0 at Newcastle back to back.
Everybody thought they were in crisis then and its similar now after losses to Liverpool and Fulham. This also being United’s first back to back defeat since 2005, it’s unlikely they are going to lose three.
And then there is Liverpool.
We have seen them on the top of the table earlier this year and have dropped points due to the pressure.
Liverpool has a home game against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs, both showing form lately, and will be a big threat for Liverpool.
The EPL will go down to the wire this season, but don’t write United off just yet.
They’re a team full of surprises.
