It’s been one hell of a rollercoaster season for the Newcastle Knights in 2019 but, with the club currently in a trough, they’re at serious risk of missing the finals for the sixth season in a row.
With a squad boasting the likes of Mitchell Pearce, Kalyn Ponga and David Klemmer, expectations were high on the Knights coming into this season.
But, apart from a six-match winning streak through May, 2019 has gone nowhere near to plan for Nathan Brown’s men.
A 1-5 start put them well and truly behind the eight-ball and, after that win streak, they’ve now dropped five of their last six.
Can the Knights recover to make the finals? How much pressure should Brown be under?
