After last week’s bye, Collingwood and Adelaide should be refreshed as they lock horns in a blockbuster clash at the MCG. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 3:20pm (AEST).
Off the back of a shock loss to the Demons in Round 14, the Pies will be looking to get back to winning ways immediately against the Crows. It could well prove to be the loss the black and whites needed; sharpening them up as we enter the final third of the home and away season.
Adelaide have been inconsistent of late, winning well against the West Coast last time out, falling to the Suns and Bulldogs over the last month, and scoring a ripping win against the Lions wedged in between. It sums up the plight of Matthew Nicks’ young team.
Team news sees the Crows travel east with an unchanged line-up to the one which put the West Coast to the sword a fortnight ago. The Pies do have some changes for the match-up, with an emotional return for Jeremy Howe and Jamie Elliott returning to the 22. as the troops return, the competition looks set to be firmly reminded that they remain the flag favourites as the run home to the finals begins.
Prediction
This simply looks a bridge too far for the Crows. They will, as always, fight the fight at different stages of the contest, but the Pies should simply run over the top of them in the second half.
Collingwood by 42 points.
