This Saturday night the Gold Coast Suns will host the GWS Giants at Metricon stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match, starting from 7:25pm AEST.

After back-to-back losses the Giants will be needing to find some form as they turn their eye to September.

Although a win on Saturday night still may not change the outside perception, a strong and convincing win will indeed give the Giants a little momentum boost into finals.

As for the Suns, this is the last chance they’ll have to try and get something out of season 2019. Although players have improved, and the Suns have been competitive for large portions of matches but the overwhelming story is that they have still lost 17 straight matches.

The Suns will need to give their fans some hope heading into the pre-season and also something to look forward to.

The Suns will also farewell Michael Rischitelli who announced that he would hang up the boots at seasons end during the week. Rischitelli has played 242 games with both the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast.

The Giants have made six changes for Saturday night with Sam Taylor, Daniel Lloyd, Jeremy Cameron, Shane Mumford, Isaac Cumming and Jeremy Finlayson all welcomed back into the side.

These six players are in for Dawson Simpson (Injured), Nick Haynes (Injured), Zach Sproule (omitted), Jake Stein (omitted), Jye Caldwell (omitted), and Toby Greene (injured).

The Suns have only made one change with Aaron Young coming in for George Horlin-Smith (omitted).

The last time the Giants and the Suns met was in Round 11 this season where the Giants were victorious winning by 83 points.

Prediction
Despite the game being on the Gold Coast I think the Giants will win comfortably as they will be looking to hit the ground running for their September campaign.

Giants by 50 points.
