Like Wade and Smith, I think that Head will be able to capitalize on his starts. I believe that his hunger to prove people wrong will spur him. Big things to come and look forward to for Head.
Australia needs to take the same XI to Lord's
How good is it to see Wade making runs. Was given an opportunity and its fair to say he’s made the most of it.
Smith and Wade flatten England
North Melbourne by 6 points. I think that due to the week they’ve had, they will want to respond strongly and I think Shaw will make sure of that.
North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Hawthorn Hawks: AFL Friday Night Forecast
Wonderful knock from Smith last night. He provided the Aussies with a bit of hope after that batting collapse before Lunch. Wade was disappointing i thought as was Warner. I’m sure Wade will bounce back though.
Steve Smith once again saves Australia from Ashes embarrassment
Great career, one of the swans greats of the last 20 years. Could Macca make the move to coaching? I think he’d make a wonderful coach, he has a great football brain.
Jarrad McVeigh officially announces retirement
Did North rush this decision, should they have waited until the end of the season?
Rhyce Shaw to be appointed full-time coach at North Melbourne
No not at all. I’m a football lover and Ablett along with Buddy Franklin is one of the greatest players I’ve seen. I don’t like booing full stop, and i did think the treatment of Ablett has been highly disrespectful.
No excuse to boo Goodes
I don’t necessarily agree with Israel Folau but I do think he has been treated badly. Surely one of Australia’s greatest rugby players deserves a little more respect. He has the right to express his views, so why has he been persecuted so heavily?
Israel Folau begins court action against Rugby AU and Waratahs
Could Carlton possibly pull off an upset of the year. It would be quite something. If they were to win, i think the talk around caretaker coach David Teague to lead the blue baggers next year will intensify.
The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 20
I am a swannies fan, and throughout the last 3 years of Adam’s career i attended many games in which he was booed including the game when he was called an “Ape” by the little girl. I have the opinion that no matter what people’s intentions were, whether they booed him because they thought he was staging for free kicks, or because they thought he was politicizing the game, it’s bullying, and humiliating someone is simply not going to achieve anything. He was treated disgustingly, surely the AFL community had a little more respect for one of the greats of the modern era.
No excuse to boo Goodes
I’d love to see big Brodie Grundy winning the Brownlow. Obviously as seen in the last 20 years, midfielders tend to clean up all the brownlow votes hence why Patrick Cripps and potentially Lachie Neale are favorites. But would’nt it be great to see Grundy win, he’s an absolute superstar.
Favourites, smokies and bolters: A dozen players who could win the Brownlow
Completely agree. Paine deserves to have a big series. Hopefully success comes his way, I’d particularly like it if he could produce some magic with the bat.
Ben Stokes will be MVP: Three bold Ashes predictions
Lock in Don Pyke to be coaching the Adelaide Football Club next year. The heat should be on the playing group, poor performances in recent weeks have indeed added pressure on the club, but after all it’s the playing group that needs to stand up and take some ownership. Adelaide have an older list, so i think that over the off season it’s down to the list managers to fill in the gaps and tactically recruit players, and also retain their experienced players, like Alex Keith who has reportedly been linked to making the move to the Western Bulldogs.
Where has it all gone wrong for the Adelaide Crows?
Great Preview. Should be a cracking race this Saturday.
