Agree mushi. The Johnson move had impact on so many other trades/signing. If that doesn’t go down maybe D-Will goes to the Mavs, which convinces Kidd to stay. Coupled with a few moves Dallas has made and you’re looking at them getting back in the conversation. Also, if Williams bolts from Brooklyn do the Nets still rank highest on Dwight’s list? Does he want Gerald Wallace as his number 2, or is he suddenly looking over at LaLa Land and imagining playing pick and roll with Nash? Massive ripple effect.

Not a bad play by Kearney. The guy who arrives at the party late has to power drink to catch up to his mates. This usually means he’s wiped out before everyone else, and ends up cracking onto the girl with the most ‘personality’. While his mates are laughing at him and bombing out with the hot girls, he’s having the time of his life in a dark corner with his hands very full. Giddy-up

All jokes aside. As a tactician Wenger’s fault is his inability to adjust to what the opposition gives him, but his dedication to playing a certain style, which is aesthetically the most enjoyable football in the EPL, earns respect. Brilliant evaluator of talent. Fallible like all humans (see Francis Jeffers), he’s got a fantastic track record of turning relative unknowns or talented youth into world class footballers.
He’s even better at selling them off for a profit so if Wenger ever wants to change careers, he’d be great in real estate.
Still can’t get over Viera for 3.5 mill. Amazing bit of work. Probably not in the Eric Djembe Djembe league for value buys, but not bad nonetheless.

Great idea CC, but let’s get more interactive by offering fans the power of veto. Imagine a football club exec – call him Ray Spagnoli. If he’s making overpriced bids for players who can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, fans at home can SMS a veto to block the purchase. Give power to the people I say

5. One Nation is top of your two party preferred system – Minus 50 points

Interesting thought Jimbo. Farah’s kicking game was far better than Pearce’s, offering real creativity and penetration. Unfortunately this idea leaves a gaping hole at the number 9, and we don’t exactly have a long line up of world class hookers knocking down the door for a slice of action…well at least not the league type of hooker!!!

For a guy who looks as if Michelangelo chiseled him from marble, Dwight is without doubt the flakiest ‘superstar’ in the NBA. The guy seriously changes his mind more often than my wife changes outfits before a night out. The play for Dwight should be simple. Push to be traded to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum. Dwight then joins a team with Kobe, Gasol and Nash. That’s a heck of a foursome. The Lakers could even trade Gasol to Houston for Scola and Kevin Martin or Lowry. Dwight would immediately be part of a championship calibre team, and be really well placed to take over Laker-land once Kobe self destructs

Realistically – to lose by a single point when you’re halves combination is so devoid of any tactical kicking game and capacity to improvise with the ball isn’t a bad effort. I reckon next year we drop Carney and Mitch, draft in two extra backrowers (there’s plenty of them out there) and let Glenn Stewart and Greg Bird play in the halves. Couldn’t do much worse I say

McRath – I have no defense against the Watmough and Stewart argument. And as a Parra fan I know first hand that while Hayne is great with ‘yeah’ and ‘nah’, he struggles with the two syllables involved in ‘alright’.
