I am madly in love with cricket

Also David Warner would also be involved. How then can his word be taken against Dkock? I am quite he only must have started it. And then started crying when he got it back. Don’t give it when you can’t take it.

Steve Smith must be sacked as captain

Last year Smith tried cheating by trying to take help from the dressing room for reviewing a decision during the test series in India. Then he said this will never be repeated. Now he blatantly attempts to cheat through ball tampering. And says this will not be repeated. Does he mean that he will try each and every method of cheating at least once and will never repeat on getting caught?

And you are talking about him being sacked as captain? Well he should be banned for a couple of years. That will be a fitting and deserving punishment.

Steve Smith must be sacked as captain

Aiden Markram looks very much the captain in the making.

South Africa vs Australia: International cricket first Test – Day 4, live scores, blog, highlights

Nathan Lyon will be the key for Australia. And he slowly but surely is making his way to the list of all time great bowlers.

Patient Australia set South Africa monster run chase

Now its upto Broad. If he can get some quick runs which he surely is capable of, then we can still have an interesting game here.

Australia vs England: The Ashes cricket highlights, live scores, blog – 1st Test, Day 4

Cricket is an interesting game. And more so when it comes to tests. Yes India have better fast bowkers collectively right now. Earlier they had Kapil or Srinath or Zaheer but not multiple good fast bowlers. Right now Shami and Yadav are doing well. And they can crank up good pace. Hardik Pandya also consistently hits the 140 kmph mark. And then his batting is a good addition to the team. But the ability to face hostile fast bowling remains a question. Having said that it remains to be seen who in South Africa can prove to be the fast bowler Indians would not want to face. Steyn is great but he gets injured often. Philander is a swing bowler primarily and would not trouble the Indians. Rabada and Morkel are ok. So SA should not be a problem. But Starc, Cummins, Pattinson can cause serious damage with their pace. And hence I am looking forward to the Australian tour the most.

Are Indian pacers ready to take the lead?

Oops !!! Wrong video it seems. My bad…

PNG Hunters claim minor premiership

Absolutely spot on. I have been rooting for the hunters for so long. My favourite team. And I am sure that they are the favourites of many. This video is one reason why they are so loved :

PNG Hunters claim minor premiership

Maxwell can very well be the Australian answer for Moeen Ali. He is a perfect number 6. One batsman who can score quick is always helps. Especially at number 6. And his bowling should be used much more frequently. He does not have variations but can be fairly accurate. And spinners who are accurate do well these days even if they lack variation.

Who will fill Australia's No.6 role in the Ashes?

Misbah ul-Haq. A late bloomer but a very capable batsman. Pakistan often had pairs such as belows :

1. Javed and Imran
2. Wasim and Waqar
3. Inzy and Yousuf
4. Younis and Misbah

Take a bow Misbah & Younis.

The Zen Master of Cricket lays down his bat

To say that David Warner is not good in sub-continental conditions would still not be correct in-spite of his failures in India. Rather we can say that he is not the right opener in these conditions. But he actually can be better if his batting position is changed. Batting down at number 4 instead will help him.

David Warner is a victim of his own success

Rahul was different post lunch. Rahane is batting uncharacteristically. Probably there seems to be a plan that Pujara will drop anchor and others will score fast. India need to win this one if they want the series. But if that is really the plan then the execution is nowhere what is required.

Yes. They are missing only Kohli the player. And not Kohli the captain. As you mentioned he has been on field during drinks. During breaks and now when India is batting, it is Kohli who is the actual captain.

So many ifs ????? But Rahul has got another fifty and Pujara is looking monk again.

Australia waste first innings at Dharamsala

hehehe …. come on …the follow on was always going to be avoided …

I guess Saha will come out at number 6.

The run rate has gone up post lunch.

I think spinning tracks will also aid Australia. Lyon and O’Keefe are much better than Ali, Rashid and the other English spinners.

Australia's most terrifying attack could light up the Ashes

Yes. The match is evenly poised. At this point India are leading by 126 with 4 wickets down. You never know when wickets might fall in a heap. Or they might stick around. Anything less than 200 for target will be in Australia’s favour. Anything more than 250 in India’s favour. Between 200 – 250 will be equally balanced.

India rallied but Australia can still win this stunning Test

Lyon is a wonderful bowler. He is 29. Has the potential to reach 500 test wickets.

Lies, damn lies and statistics: The rise of Nathan Lyon

What a great test match we are having. India finally showing grit with the bat. However its raining hard in Bangalore. And the forecast does not look good for tomorrow. Hope rain does not spoil this perfectly poised test which right now has the potential to go either way.

Australia's patient batting is sapping India

Renshaw is batting well. However the run rate needs to go p. Else at some point a good ball is definitely going to get the wicket. At this pace it seems Australia will reach upto 225.

There is a difference between good and great. Ponting was a great. Khawaja is a good one.

Khawaja to be dropped for India Tests, with spin his undoing

India has got that problem sorted out with Ashwin and Jadeja playing well with the bat in hand. Ashwin is a real match winner in home conditions. What a bowler to have with his comrade in arms Jadeja.

Who to bat at six and who is the fifth bowler?

Adam Voges is one of those players who got their chance post 30 and did well. This reminds me of Mike Hussey who made his debut post 30 and went on to have a brilliant career. One of those rare players.

Adam Voges deserves some respect
