Pakistan really showed the spirit. All these years there is no international matches happening in their country. Yet they always fight. Even though they lost they certainly won a lot of hearts. What a fight. Azhar Ali started. Younis contributed. And then Shadow made a valiant effort. Aamir, Riaz, Yasir all gave it their 100%. Now eagerly waiting for the boxing day test.

Australia is in for a whitewash against India. I mean if England is being thoroughly beaten then I don’t see how the Aussies would get past the Indians.

The teams which have good all-rounders are likely to succeed these days. Like India. Ashwin, Jadeja & J Yadav are doing a fabulous job with the bat in addition to their primary job of spin bowling. England played well when they had Bresnan, Broad doing well with the bat. Warne, Lee & Gillespie also often made significant contributions with the bat especially under pressure and added those 100-150 extra runs which often decided the result of the match.
This team lacks that. They need to improve on this aspect.

Khawaja can improve if he plays IPL. Maxwell, Smith, Warner always play well in IPL. So it makes sense in dropping him.
But tests are going to be different. And not just Ashwin. Jadeja is key too. What happens is that Ashwin with his variations is a tough bowler. So batsmen try to score off Jadeja. And that is where his stump to stump line works. Any error and chances that you are out lbw, bowled are great.
