I would think nigh on every one who ever watched rugby would opt to sacrifice a few pre kick rituals for an improved 80 min spectacle without the excessive time wasting

ANALYSIS: Frizell and TJ spark All Blacks' recovery, but one clunky combination needs work

Agree. I grew up on Tests and ODIs and I (like many others clearly still are), was reluctant to accept T20 but certainly in the last few years I have warmed to the concept and cooled on ODIs.
Besides the obvious appeal of the shorter length and more attacking play for attracting new fans (critical to the entire sports continuity) I am actually enjoying watching the evolution of the concept. The greater specialization of roles, the new stroke play and variance in bowling. Even tactically its rapidly changing which to me is fascinating to watch. ODIs feel stale in comparison.
Ultimately ODIs were introduced to be a more aggressive, casual viewer friendly version of Test Cricket and now T20s have taken that role so why continue with ODIs? I know I prefer to watch Tests or T20 now
What I would say though is I am NOT a fan of domestic leagues. The governing bodies need to ensure we dont follow Footballs lead and have every international meaningless outside of a 4 yearly world cup.

RIP, one-dayers: Time has come for T20 to wipe 50-over games from international calendar

Not a great performance for sure and I’m far from a fan of Foster as we aren’t clicking enough but at the end of the day we were 33-8 up against a solid Aussie side before the bench came on

It was inconsistent as you say but the team we put out got the job done and None of the starters played particularly poorly IMO, that period after half time showed they have the ability to turn it up. I’d like to see some continuity with selection just give them a chance to build over a couple of games for once and bring that intensity for more than 20 mins

The one area I would change is the bench, that was a huge failing. Obviously Scooter and Cole’s back in would help a lot and figure out a better way to use the Barretts

Some positive steps for the All Blacks, but the volatility remains
