“Zeng Linpeng was dismissed in the 88th minute for elbowing Wanderers striker Mark Bridge”

He elbowed La Rocca, not Mark Bridge.

Although, in saying that, he may have wanted to elbow Mark Bridge. Everyone wants to elbow Mark Bridge. Even Mark Bridge wants to elbow Mark Bridge.

Wanderers' victory marred by childish performances

The fact that you haven’t listened to the constant warnings of heavy delays to get into the stadium by car is your own fault. Pretty much every correspondence from ANZ Stadium says to use public transport and not drive due to heavy traffic. They warn you in their emails, on facebook, on giant illuminated signs on Homebush Bay Drive, on their website and even print it on the tickets.

The sheer volume of special event buses from areas in close proximity to the stadium is fairly good. If you actually take 5 mins and plan your trip, you’ll realise that you can drive to Putney or Meadowbank, find plenty of parking and catch a Special Event bus for free which takes about 10 mins to get to the stadium. They come every 5 mins. On the way home, the line goes pretty quickly and you’ll be on a bus and on your way home within 15 mins of leaving your seat. I’ve done this for 14 years and it’s really not an issue if you want to drive.

ANZ Stadium isn’t perfect but seriously, what Stadium is? Have you ever tried getting out of the Moore Park car park after a big game? I’m an ANZ Stadium member mainly for Rabbitohs games and on a weekly basis, driving to and from ANZ for a Bunnies game is fine. Parking is easy (especially in the CommBank building) and for special events, just jump on a train or a bus.

My love/hate letter to ANZ Stadium

Just quietly, I’ve heard that Dexter Rosales is about to sign for FC Top Blokes of Adelaide.

FFA needlessly stirring the pot with anti-ethnic policy

Good article. I completely agree that Ferrari needs to change its strategy and do away with the #1 and #2 driver hierarchy. Ferrari’s (and most team’s) strategy has worked in the past (and best) when you have a dominant first driver and a secondary driver that is good enough to provide support and give up race positions when required. Eddie Irvine and Felipe Massa played this role well (although Massa hasn’t really been the same since taking a spring to the head), but the king of this role was Rubens Barrichello, who was proven to be competitive in all races and not just in a red car. Irvine, Massa and Barrichello were not world champions, however.

I do think the time as come for Ferrari to increase the internal team competitiveness. With half a dozen competitive teams, an Alonso and (hopefully) Kimi battle each week will push Ferrari to the front of the grid again. These are two proven world champions and, personally, my two favourite current drivers. I’d like to see them both finish their careers both win another world championship in a red car.

If Vettel wins a fifth, i’ll throw up.

No Gallen?

2014 State of Origin: the best NSW lineup

Hang on – 4 of the last 5 games of the Rabbitohs’ draw are against Melbourne, Roosters, Canterbury and Manly. Not exactly an easy run into the finals.

How hard is your NRL team's draw?

Does that make James Harden Two-Face? I’d like to see Fisher as The Penguin.

Up The Grizz!

Durant is a superhero, but not super enough

Darren Albert. 1997 ARL Grand Final. If that doesn’t get you going, I’m not sure what will.

English football has drama Aussie sport can’t replicate

Holy hell – Ben Williams with 481 yellows! Surely not. How many games has he reffed. 100 or so. Almost 5 per game? Really?

A-League stats: when people are key

It will be a massacre at Homebush on Friday night.

2013 NRL season: round 10 Preview

They’ll make the eight, surely, but I’d be very surprised if they really troubled the top four in September. They were very good the past few weeks – especially against Newcastle – but I can’t see Campese leading them to a premiership.

Is this 2013 the year of the Raider?
