Yep – Mathew Head certainly brought the umpiring fraternity into question on that night in Perth. So precious were the umpires that after Grant Thomas had supported Mark Thompson for daring to criticise umpires over their performance, they would ultimately crucify the St. Kilda Football Club and all there battle weary supporters, by effectively robbing them of a top 4 finish!

Collingwood, Essendon & Melbourne – really? Buckley has Collingwood going backwards and Essendon despite getting some players back will still struggle, given the amount of time those guys have had out of the game. Melbourne need to be disappointed as a club with this season, if they want to be a successful club in the long term – something Chris Judd picked up on last night on FC. Too many people down at the MCG are already patting each other on the back for this years improvement. Hope for the Demon’s sake they don’t leave it there. I think Carlton can improve on this years effort as well.
North’s ageing list might catch up with them next year and I think Geelong might struggle with a few retirements that might occur over the off-season, if not before. Eagles will probably hang on to spot in the bottom half of the 8.
